Changelog

0.1.0 — 2026-11-06

First public version.

Workbench

  • Native Git workbench over the system git binary: changes, history, branches, stashes, worktrees, remotes, tags, submodules, sparse checkout, hooks, LFS and patches.
  • File, hunk and line staging bound to the diff you saw. A changed file returns git_stale instead of writing the index.
  • Commit composer with stage-all, batch outcomes and a journal for interrupted batches.

Safety

  • Recovery snapshots before discard, hard reset, stash drop, merge or rebase abort, and force push. Restores refuse to overwrite files changed after the snapshot. Retention: 24 hours, 200 snapshots, 512 MiB.
  • Force push uses --force-with-lease only, and writes a snapshot of the remote-tracking tip first.
  • Local push preflight on every outbound path: private key material blocks a push, blocking findings need a typed confirmation, warnings need an explicit accept.

History and conflicts

  • Paged commit graph with branch filtering, author and content search, blame at any commit, reflog search with soft, mixed and hard reset.
  • Interactive rebase with an editable todo, squash, reword, cherry-pick, revert, split of the HEAD commit with a backup ref, and range-diff for recorded rewrites.
  • Conflict resolver with per-block ours/theirs/both/base, whole-file editing, a three-way view and rerere.

Integrations

  • Optional ACP assistant for commit messages, diff explanations and change or branch review, with send-scope disclosure and a review receipt. Writes and terminals are rejected; the agent process is not an OS sandbox.
  • Optional loopback MCP server on 127.0.0.1 with a bearer token, bounded read tools and per-call approval for fetch, stage and unstage.
  • GitHub, GitLab, Gitea and Bitbucket Cloud pull and merge requests: lists, checks, review comments, approvals and merges. Tokens live in the OS keychain.

Workspace and desktop

  • Multi-repository workspace with a bounded local catalog, cross-repository activity feed and tracked-content code search.
  • Up to eight windows, each with its own repository session.
  • English and Simplified Chinese interface, nine languages on this website.
  • Deterministic 36-beast avatars derived from repository names, computed locally.

Distribution status

  • macOS builds are signed with a Developer ID and notarized; the ticket is stapled to the disk image, so a quarantined download passes Gatekeeper.
  • The Windows installer is not Authenticode-signed. Verify the published SHA-256 before running it.
  • Linux packaging is cross-built and has not been verified on a desktop by the maintainers.
  • The update feed and installers are live at https://download.floweb.cn/gitwright/; signed manifests for macOS and Windows point at the versioned archives.

Known limitations

  • The ACP agent process is not sandboxed. Only connect agents you trust.
  • The push preflight is a local heuristic, not a secret scanner.
  • Very large repositories are usable but bounded: history pages, file previews, diffs and workspace scans all have caps.
  • Linux desktop behaviour may differ from macOS and Windows; bug reports with the distribution and desktop environment are welcome.

Fixed

  • File previews, image diffs and the image overlay stack keep small images at their natural size instead of stretching them into the pane.
